So first week is over! And I found solution for my sleep problem, a friend suggested to drink pills from valerian roots (it is a plant) and it really helps! I have also set an appointment for Personal Counceling, so I hope they help me to find out what’s going on. It is free for students, you just go to P201 room in Exchange District campus and they set appointment for you.
So it was a BIG week. First day no classes but some of us didn’t know that so we arrived at 8am and spent one hour in the empty classroom haha. Then starting at nine all BIT and IBIT students were gathered in the one big presentation room and we were instructed about the college and our program. One thing I didn’t know was that you can’t finish the program earlier. I mean, after term three, if you have started in the winter, you can do co-op in the summer plus in the fall, that’s 8 months, or you do project term in the fall. You can’t do co-op in the summer and take your last term in the fall. Either way you have to take last term in the winter.
Term 1 - winter 2015
Term 2 - fall 2015
Term 3 - winter 2016
Summer+fall - co-op (8 months)
Or
Industry project - fall 2016 (4 months)
Term 4 - spring 2017
Okay now impressions: I am just amazed of the college!!!!! They got like everything for students! You have internet everywhere! Bathrooms are always clean and supplied. Everyday we have 2 hours break between classes and there are various places to spend time. If you don’t have laptop with you, you can go to library and use the computer. If you have your laptop, every table in the college has socket and Internet port. There are also these “break out” rooms where you just spend time privately. You can eat anywhere except the library. I really enjoy the design and architecture of the building(s).They have special rooms for any question or issue you may have. If you feel scared, they also offer this “secure walk” service, when you can be accompanied by guard to your car or bus. There are also other sweet things, but those mentioned above impressed me most :3 wifi everywhere!!!!! Uuuuu fantastic!
I am very happy that this blog actually ‘works’ and one of my classmates found the info about books here. Hi Lena! You are awesome! ^_^
